Dr. Addie Felten

Addie Felten

Dr. Felten grew up in Eastern Iowa on her beef family farm. She was highly involved in every aspect of the farm with a particular interest in the cows. She attended Iowa State University and achieved a bachelors of animal science in 2012. She continued her education at Iowa State University graduating from veterinary school in 2016 with honors. She spent the following year as a veterinary intern at Tufts University continuing to develop her skills and experience in large animal medicine with a focus in dairy medicine. Her areas of interest include calf and heifer management as well as general herd health. 

Dr. Nicole Costello

Dr. Nicole Costello grew up on a small family farm in rural Eastern Iowa where she developed a passion for dairy and swine. She graduated from Iowa State University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in dairy science and again in 2017 with a DVM. In 2017 Nicole graduated from the University of Iowa with a master’s in public health. Her practice interests include transition cow management and all things public health. In her free time Nicole enjoys biking, gardening and spending time outdoors with her husband, Matthew and dogs, Annie and Ollie.

 DR. SAMANTHA KELM

Dr. Kelm grew up in a small lake town in Orange County, New York. She graduated in 2019 from the University of Massachusetts- Amherst with a degree in Animal Science. In 2023 she earned her DVM from Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine, where she tracked production animal medicine. Her interests include milk quality, mastitis prevention, and general dairy practice. In her free time she enjoys anything outdoors including hiking, hunting, and kayaking.

 

Derek Lieffring

Dr. Derek Lieffring

Dr. Derek Lieffring grew up on a small dairy farm in Arkansaw, WI.  He graduated from the Durand School District in 2007 and attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls where he received his bachelor's degree in Dairy Science in 2011.  He was accepted into the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine where his main focus was large animal species.  Upon graduation in 2014 he obtained his first job at a bovine practice in Cashton, WI.  In order to be closer to his hometown, Derek joined Mondovi Veterinary Service in 2015.  His main practice interests include fresh/transition cow management, calf health, and reproduction management.  In his free time Derek enjoys spending time with his friends and family, bow hunting for whitetail deer, fishing, and traveling to new places.  Derek hopes to settle in to the Mondovi area long term and manage his own small hobby farm.
